Harper loves to fish and we are lucky enough to have several stocked lakes in our neighborhood. Now that the weather is getting warm we are starting to get outside more, this past weekend we went fishing with Randy, Stacy, and Riley in our ponds. The fish weren't really biting, but we still had fun.Harper does really well casting her pink Barbie fishing pole. Of course she doesn't leave the line out long enough to ever catch anything, she has too much fun reeling and casting. She is not afraid of the fish at all. Whenever one is caught she runs over to touch it. I guess despite the pink rod and reel, she's not too girly! We have a hard time keeping bait around with Harper. She fishes out the minnows from the bucket and releases them into the lake. She's not so fond of the crickets, she won't touch them. It's so much fun to see her growing up and enjoying activities like fishing.
Harper enjoyed Easter this year. It was her first year to dye Easter eggs and get an Easter basket. She loved dying the eggs! I wasn't brave enough to give a two year old food coloring in the house, so we took advantage of the nice weather and did it outside. She did really well and was very proud of herself. Over Spring Break we visited Michael's parents in Naples, Florida. We usually fly to Naples, but we decided that we would drive it this time...11 hours...I know, what were we thinking? We traveled at night, which made the trip surprisingly easy. Harper did great, she watched The Little Mermaid about 1,000 times and slept.
