Little Priss
Somehow Harper has turned into quite the little priss. She's never liked to get dirty and always wants us to wash her hands, but here lately she is really interested in dres
sing up, make-up and other girly things. She loves for us to paint her fingers and toes. She even managed to get them painted while at school last week...I have NO idea how!! Well, Saturday morning I had to go to work and Harper was hanging out in the bathroom while I got ready. She wanted to put on make-up, so I gave her an empty container and brush...of course she needed the mirror. She quickly realized that the make up container
was empty and requested more, I gave in and allowed her to play with some old eye shadow. She worked very hard to accomplish her "look". Everything got a coat of pink lip gloss and brown eyeshadow. I even caught her painting her toenails with the lip gloss! I cannot figure out where this phase is coming from, don't get me wrong I like my clothes, purses, and shoes...but I don't even wear makeup on the weekends and you're lucky if I paint my to
es. I'm hoping she'll grow out of this...it could become a very expensive habit to support!

Fishing Fun
Harper does really well casting her pink Barbie fishing pole. Of course she doesn't leave the line out long enough to ever catch anything, she has too much fun reeling and casting. She is not afraid of the fish at all. Whenever one is caught she runs over to touch it. I guess despite the pink rod and reel, she's not too girly! We have a hard time keeping bait around with Harper. She fishes out the minnows from the bucket and releases them into the lake. She's not so fond of the crickets, she won't touch them. It's so much fun to see her growing up and enjoying activities like fishing.
Easter
almost an hour when she first got them. Nana gave her a new Easter book, that we've now all memorized we read it so much! The Easter Bunny gave her a baseket filled with dishes for her kitchen, bubbles, and more water colors.
After having breakfast at home, we headed to the Lake to have Easter lunch with Nana, Pop, Dat-Dat, Dylan, Zane, Kattie, Anslea, Adyson, and Emory-Kate. Harper had so much fun hiding Easter Eggs with Anslea and Adyson. It's really fun to see her and Adyson play together, Harper will do anything that Adyson does....which is not always a good thing!
Overall, our Easter weekend was great! Harper is at the age where she understands what is going on and enjoys it. It was a weekend filled with family, food, and fun!!

Spring Break Fun
So, I've have been told by loyal blog followers that I should write more...so here goes. Let me know what you think.
Over Spring Break we visited Michael's parents in Naples, Florida. We usually fly to Naples, but we decided that we would drive it this time...11 hours...I know, what were we thinking? We traveled at night, which made the trip surprisingly easy. Harper did great, she watched The Little Mermaid about 1,000 times and slept.
The next day we went down to the beach. It was a little crowded but beautiful. Harper loved playing in the sand and COLD water. We then went back to the house to play in the pool. Harper loves the water, she would swim all day. Sambo got her swimmies for her arms so she could go anywhere with out us holding her. We couldn't get her to jump in the pool, but she would do just about anything else.
Grammie took Harper to the Naples Zoo. Harper of course had a great time. She loves animals. She also loves spending time with her Grammie. Michael and I enjoyed relaxing by the pool...without the splashes of a two-year old. Later that afternoon, Sam, Michael, and I went and played golf. We all had fun and Michael got an Eagle on 18th hole! Jane invited friends from work to meet all of us that night. They were very nice and brought Harper fun gifts.
We arrived in Naples at 4:30...in the morning! Michael and I were tired from the drive, so Grammie and Sambo took Harper down to Fifth Avenue to do a little shopping and mingle with the beautiful people. They had lunch at Cheeburger, Cheeburger and found an alligator statue outside one of the stores. This alligator scared Harper so Sambo gave him a high-five and then stuck his head in this mouth. Harper loved this, she told everyone that Sambo high-fived the alligator and then stuck his head in his mouth (of course she opens her mouth wide to demonstrate).
Jane and Sam sent Michael and I to a nice dinner at Flemmings for Michael's birthday. We had a wonderful dinner. It was so great to be able to have dinner at a nice restaurant without having to chase Harper around.
